In 2002, Hayao Miyazaki was interviewed by Roger Ebert for the release of his film Spirited Away which went on to win best animated feature at the 2003 Academy Awards and remains the highest-grossing Japanese film. Roger Ebert (1942–2013) was an American film critic, historian, journalist and author. He was the film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times from 1967 until his death in 2013 and was the first film critic to win the Pulitzer Prize for distinguished criticism.
